Red Eye Grill, 7th Ave, New York, NY

You will always have a geat meal at this hot NYC spot. The Red Eye is home to the dancing shrimp, which are presented in a really fun way, I won't spoil the surprise. The staff is one of the best in the world, always attentive and just awesome. One evening the wait staff was having so much fun with us they were thowing plates, we joined in a bit. You never know who you might run into at the Red Eye, one evening Stevie Wonder another George's Mom from Seinfild was chowing down. You will not be disappointed with your choice to dine at the Red Eye Grill. If you can eat at the bar, those guys ae great. Please tell them Jay & Kelly sent you.

The Gumbo Shop, New Orleans

If you ask any staff members at the hotels in the French Quarter where they suggest great food usually they will mention the Gumbo Shop. Once you step into the restaurant you feel like you have gone back in time to old New Orleans. If you can be seated in the courtyard, if alone bring a book that will inspire, if you are dining with others grab a bottle of their geat wine and enjoy the smells in the aire while looking at the stars. A visit to New Orleans is just not complete without a visit to this restaurant with the incredibel gumbo and crusty bread. Please tell them Jay & Kelly sent you.

McCormisk & Schmick's DC

Ok, this is of course a chain restaurant. None the less we love this paticular place at the corner of 14th & K because it is where I asked Kelly to marry me. Enjoy the towers of raw seafood with some champage on a Saturday and you neve know who might be yelling because they just slipped on a diamond and said yes to a marriage request. Please be sure to tell them that the couple who got engaged in their restaurant sent you to hang out. If they ask who, tell them Jay & Kelly

Villa Ortegas Restaurant in Puerto Nuevo, Mexico

If you have a chance to go to the restaurant then you most likely are staying in Rosarito Beach Mexico. This restaurant is in a little seacoast village. Sitting on the deck looking out over the pacific is the perfect time to experince their lobster Puerto Nuevo style. It is nothing like the Maine lobster most are use to. This is a pacific ocean grown, deep fried lobster that is full of the most incredible tastes we have ever experienced. It sounds crazy but it is outstanding, don't miss out on the most unique meal of a lifetime. Tell them Kelly & Jay sent you.

Cafe Du Monde, New Orleans

No visit to the French Quarter is complete withouta cup of coffee and a stack of beignets (fried dough), covered with powered sugar. Sit, relax and people watch while someone is playing the saxaphone. Plan on waiting if you are not thee early. Do plan on 30 minutes after to enjoy a brief stroll down along the Mississippi. Sit and listen to the street preformers and watch the paddle wheel fire up fo a trip back in time. Send me a photo if you think of it, this is a magical location.

Santa Barbara, CA

If you find yourself stuck in the pit called Santa Barbara, CA :-), kidding of course, head out to the pier and stroll to the Shellfish Co. You will not be unhappy, but you will be messy if you decide to pull one of their incredible crabs apart. You should attempt a whole crab with a beer or two. Please tell them Jay & Kelly sent you!!

Arnaud's, New Orleans

This is the spot where famous folks hang out in New Orleans. There is a cigar smoking room that let's you know you are where deals are made. The food is outstanding and the staff in tuxedos makes the experience impeccable. A few times I have sat at the owners table, I must say the service those evenings was just Wow!! Please tell them Jay & Kelly sent you.

Joe's Stone Crab, Miami

Please be sure to book well ahead of when you would like to dine here. When we booked day of, it was a weekend, it was a 2 and a half hour wait. The food is incredible and the feel is old Miami. Very cool and hip spot to hang out and enjoy a world class martini. Don't forget to mention that Jay & Kelly sent you.

Kilt & Clover, Port Dalhousie, Ontario

Nestled into a corner on Lake Ontaio this pub is the pefect place to stop for a great beer and burger. Brady has been a few times with Kelly and I and is a big fan of the wood along with the kilts stapled to the wall. Don't mind the bikers. Pleae tell them Jay & Kelly from Ridley sent you.

Boss Oyster, Apalachicola

We found this incedble spot while attending the wedding of our friends Lori & David. This hole in the wall could be the best place in the world to hang out in shorts and a t-shirt. The drinks are awesome and the raw seafood is just minutes from being in the salt water. It is without a doubt off the beaten path but well worth the 3 hour detour off highway 10. Plan on a day or so delay if you are heading west but please make the detour. There only is one real problem with going to Apalachicola, you might decide to just never leave. Tell the folks at Boss that Jay & Kelly send their love and also suggest water seating.

Favorite Spot

This is our favorite spot on the planet, Blue Ribbon Bakery. Geat food and it blends into the scene on a side street nesstled in the West Village section of the Big Apple. You can make a meal out of the shrimp and steak tar tar. These two items are actually why we love this place. If you enjoy steak tar tar, pepare yourself for the very best tar tar you have ever had, incedible! Please tell them that Jay & Kelly sent you and that we are related to Jim Garels
